I was a bit in a hurry since the light was fading very quickly and i was quite far away from the car. Everything was already in my backpack and I promised to myself "no more photography for today".
Then i see this beautiful scene in front of me and i had to take everything out. Again.
I have no regrets 😜

Bit of a weird one, this is the reflection from a wine glass with the sun on it and some processing to bring it out. I'll be back on normal shots soon!

These are bits from a tiny screwdriver set used for working on electronics. That makes this photo a macro, as well.
in Berkeley, where there mostly is very little. This is the edge of a private club where they have planted special trees in keeping with a lovely environment. It borders the street, so we can all benefit!!
A bit of a blurred shot, but with the end of Metrobus operation by National Express West Midlands imminent, thought I'd fetch this out of the junk pile, as it's the only shot I've got of an Acocks Green Metro in service.
Nice paint match on the replacement panels. you can see why the silver livery was dropped!
A bit of an experiment. I joined a group called The Weekend Ruiner founded by Mr Vanmoer (frenchbloke.vanmoer). Every week you get random items. Some of them are like movie sets in a way -- like a long hallway missing one wall so you can do a photoshoot. This week I got this house. It's awesome. A cartoon neon house.

I had a body I never wore from the Meta-Body experiment of 2011 called Frame Girl which was all lines. I've always wanted to use that body but it's not exactly something you wear out to dinner. It needed the perfect occasion.

And the umbrella? It's raining in Norway. Nope, I'm not in Norway. I'm in Arizona where the sun is beating down on us. It's just one of those random things that worked for me.

Just when I was wondering what to photograph for Macro Monday's theme of "Found in the Kitchen" I spied this bit of fluff dangling from my kitchen light shade.
HMM to all.
A bit south of Carmel-By-The-Sea along the California coast is a tiny valley covered in lily flowers in late winter and early spring. We went there for sunset. A small creek flows into the Pacific Ocean, forming ever changing tiny valleys and hills with ripples. I froze the action with a very short exposure time.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

A bit torn and tattered Monarch butterfly resting on a hydrangea flower. I'm seeing many more Monarch butterflies this year than in recent years. I have many native plants that I planted specifically for the butterflies, and it seems that my efforts are not in vain. Backyard photography.
Along with a few other walkers along the Kennet and Avon Canal recently, we stopped to watch the crew of this narrow boat try to turn it around. Quite a bit of difference to a three point turn in a car!
I thought at one stage they were not going to make it, but persistence pays and eventually it ended up facing the desired direction. Provided some unexpected entertainment to an unwanted audience!
Day 232 of 365 - Down the Road a Bit
This is a through the window while driving shot tortured significantly in Nik Silver Efex Pro, photoshop and aperture. I am not thrilled with it but I am posting it for my photo a day project.
edit:
Thank you all for all of the positive comments. After sleeping on it and all of your comments and favs I am liking it more. I think this is a case of not being able to see past the original shot (which was undoubtedly awful, see for yourself) to what I made of it.
A bit of housekeeping over the last few days, and going back through some images from a few years ago in the Norwegian Fjords. A handheld shot, that I took just because of the immense background behind these houses. What a place to live! Whilst enviable in some respects, it was a pretty bleak day, and I'm sure they will have more than a few days like this. It must make it a harsh place to live at times.

Something bit special from an evening out in falling snow.
It is not very often that I get such a possibility to make a photograph where you have already been sure that it will be very special. The mood has something indescribably unique and you need all your concentration to make a photo at all, because this moment is so wonderful and you do not want to miss it. This was such a moment when I stood with an umbrella armed in the slow falling snow show and the passing sun was still showing through the clouds before disappeared behind the horizon. Some kind of magic...
I hope you can imagine something of it, in this shot the falling snow is unfortunately not so clearly visible. Lol... ;-)
Cheers

Been a bit off last few days, we each had our shingles vax, first of two. Left us sore and sorry! Jenny took this phone shot of young Kooka who zoomed in on a big crunchy Grasshopper on the Orange tree! Well, that fixed that pest! As per normal practice, it got bashed about a bit before being eaten. Same Kookaburra as was here the other day. Beautiful thing.

Bit of luck with the light as it appeared in the last second as 37884 seen passing Melton Mowbray loop with the 5L47 0901 Derby RTC - Ely Papworth sidings, running over 2 hours late 29/3/21.
A bit of an experimental image, checking out morning mists and sunrises at a local Park. I was intrigued that without the sun backlighting the scene, there seemed to be no mist at all.
What can I say, I like this one a lot.. It was a foggy cool early morning I spotted these beautiful purple colors "popping" out against the light green and milky fog. The small rise and fence made a great image.
Bit of a stitched panorama of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. I kind of like the central composition of the tree here, I did consider not stitching as many images together, but even with the panorama it works for me…
Just outside of Page, AZ, near the Glen Canyon Dam, there is a place that is like the famous "Wave" but does not require a permit or 3-mile walk. I corrected the exposure and tonal issues with Lightroom and Photoshop (32-bit HDR) then finish in 16-bit with Perfect Effects and Viveza.
Behind John, who is picking up some of the broken pieces of some of the hollows, or geodes recently removed from the pit and examining them for potential collecting, is the large pile of overburden and debris, containing some nice thundereggs and mostly broken pieces - right behind him you can see where some secondary digging was done to remove a few nodules hidden inside the large pile.
Bit of a struggle to get here for sunrise, but at least I got lucky with some clearing in the sky for a few minutes... Old man of Storr, Isle of Skye, Scotland
Bit of a damp morning here. The birds still have to feed tho' so nice for me to sit in the dry to watch my garden visitors.
As 66704 sits while its train is loaded at Arcow Quarry, 66760 heads south on the S&C with its train from the Quarry.
66704 has worked into the Quarry on 6M31 from Hexthorpe and is having its first part of the train loaded. 66760 is working 6M38, Arcow Quarry to Bredbury, with its loaded train after running to Blea Moor to run round its train.

There is a second railroad in the Pittston area that interchanges with the RBMN. In business since 1994 the Luzerne and Susquehanna operates 60 miles of assorted bits of cast of scraps of once important class 1 routes that once served the Scranton Wilkes-Barre area. The valley was placed with a nearly incomprehensible web of rails at one time that generated carloads and revenue to boggle the mind. But now so little remains and what does is but a shadow of itself. In fact the trackage beneath this unit that sits stationary, blue flagged, and tied down was once the LV's mainline into Wilkes-Barre.
LS 1751 itself is an EMD GP9 blt. Oct. 1959 ad Pennsylvania Railroad 7242. The venerable geep is now the property of RJ Corman Railroad group which bought the L&S in August 2020. One wonders if 1751 will survive and trade her somber LS black for brilliant Corman crimson. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

A bit of a murky morning but although there was little sign of the sunrise, there's always potential for an image if you embrace the conditions.
