This is an endangered species. It hatched at the Alberta Birds of Prey Foundation Center in 2004.

Juvenile Bateleur eagle

I saw this bald eagle swoop down into the Tennessee River and catch a fish for breakfast. I was not expecting to see a Bald Eagle this morning.

This beautiful juvenile Bald Eagle decided to stop over for a few weeks in Long Beach, Ca, in route to the north. Lucky for us, a rare sighting anywhere around here.
