I saw this bald eagle swoop down into the Tennessee River and catch a fish for breakfast. I was not expecting to see a Bald Eagle this morning.
This beautiful juvenile Bald Eagle decided to stop over for a few weeks in Long Beach, Ca, in route to the north. Lucky for us, a rare sighting anywhere around here.

I enjoyed myself so much on the first Introduction to Birds of Prey photograph that I decided to do it again. It was well worth it from my perspective so I hope that these shots reflect that. I tried to do slightly different things to last time and it helped that the barn owl was more co-operative this time with her flying.
