last minute afternoon out.. arrived in time for the last demo of the day (3pm)

The King Vulture. This guy is the most colorful around the head area. As you can see it has a lot of color and some of it looks like rope or maybe even braided. This is an awesome bird to see.

These birds were shown as a pair as they hunt in packs in the wild. Apparently they work together to keep their prey running and wear it out by taking over from each other when they get tired.

I saw this bald eagle swoop down into the Tennessee River and catch a fish for breakfast. I was not expecting to see a Bald Eagle this morning.
