Birds of Paradise-7419_012110

They had these around the pool areas at the hotel... So basically this would be a flock of birds (of paradise).

I didn't notice until was about finished but these were covered with palmetto bugs (to me they look like roaches). gross!!! They seem to be all over Florida...

Current 3d model to add to the collection of 'birds' which inhabit Paradise.

Savanna Nightjar (caprimulgus affinis) is a specy found in South and Southeast Asia. Its habitat is open forest and areas with scrub. Its length is about 25 cm (9.8 in). The upperparts are brownish-grey and vermiculated, with pale brown speckles. The underparts are brown, with bars. The savanna nightjar is nocturnal (active during night and sleeping during day).
