Borith Lake (Urdu: بوریت) is a lake in Gojal, Hunza Valley in Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan.
Migratory wild birds can be seen in Borith Lake. These birds migrate from Siberia in Russia, Northern China, and other parts of central Asia towards their winter grounds in Southern Pakistan.
Wild Fowls of Borith.
The lake is filled with blue water, encompassed by beautiful mountains creating surreal and ethereal scenery. Isolation and silence make the place a meditative haven. It’s a paradise for nature seekers, trekkers, and tourists who adore the view of the magnificent Ultra peak at 6735 meters and Borit Sar.
Not only the peace will calm your senses, but the lake is a natural sanctuary for birds also. Borith Lake is home to beautiful migratory birds who visit here during the spring and autumn season.
The Borith Lake becomes jaw-dropping during November and February with panoramic views of snowy cascades as the lake freezes. This frozen lake looks like broken shards of glass, retained in a perfect blue pattern.

Siberian Stonechat Male
Chunky little bird of open landscapes; often sits on exposed perches. Breeding male has a black head, broad white half-collar, and rusty-red chest. Non-breeding male is patchier, with a paler head and chest. Female is predominantly streaky brown above, with a weaker, less contrasting face and chest pattern. European Stonechat is very similar, and can pose identification problems where the species overlap; look for Siberian’s larger white wing patch, duller orange on the chest, and whiter rump. (e-bird)
