Members of the crow family are amongst the most intelligent birds being able to make and use tools and even count up to eight. But crows also have a bad reputation being associated with fear and evil and symbolise magic, mystery and witchcraft in many myths and stories. One of my favourite poems is The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe - Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”.

K.Marinović - Birds Meet Color

Hello!

Hope everyone is having a nice evening/day. Here is my newest work called "Birds Meet Color"! This is a blueish, color version of my photo "Birds". I really wanted to see how this photo would look with a bit of color to it, so that´s why I made this. I think I created an interesting mood in this. A very crazy one, I must say. Some of you will probably say the silhouette is a bit too "harsh", but it is meant to be artistic and not "real". This is just supposed to be a very crazy photo, not something you should look as reality, I guess.

Hope you´ll like it!

Tell me what you think. Cheers!

This is a verdin perched on an ocotillo. Verdins are a small desert-dwelling bird, somewhat common in the desert southwest of the U.S. They are monogamous but don't necessarily hang out with their mate year-round. Respectful of each other's space, I guess.

I thought this was a Swainson's Thrush but I'm not sure. Please help.

Another pair of the little birds that I managed to photograph from the Loch Visions hide on the Ardfern peninsular.

Loved watching this cute bird taking a bath in a puddle from the rain.

Still waiting for the new offspring to arrive.

Oh boy!! My hubby bought me a new lens for Christmas... I have even more to learn now! But this was one of the first shots with the new lens. Still not perfect but holy smokes...I actually got a fairly decent shot of a bird!!! I'm very excited! Not bad for not knowing what the heck I'm doing yet.
