Her dreams went far beyond those deserts she had always known. A communications officer in a landscape where no one could be seen... the irony of a life among strange mirages on the horizon and the mines of Resthyr... her life's mission.
When she opened her eyes someone said her name was Anyouür ... "the small desert rose" ... how small and lost she felt in that world of which she had no memory...

Dances of Vice impresario Shien Lee and Blasphemina’s Closet designer Samantha Rei join forces to present the highly anticipated “Wonderland in Spring Ball”, featuring the musical flourishes of 24-piece avant-garde chamber rock orchestra This Ambitious Orchestra, with special performing guests ZooG von Rock as MC, Cor-leonis on theremin, aerial and burlesque performances by the stunning Veruca Honeyscotch and Rita MenWeep, the mysterious Malvoye the Mentalist, and fairy-tale fashion shows featuring the work of Blasphemina’s Closet, Kristin Costa, I Do Declare, Apatico and Bionic Unicorn.
Set in the stunning cultural venue that is Galapagos Art Space and decorated by PUREVILE/Anthropologie display designer Wren Britton, Dances of Vice and Samantha Rei invite you to pay homage to the spirit of Alice in Wonderland in Dadaistic celebration of the liberating effects of nonsense, beauty, and surrealism.
she was born with a progressive hearing loss. when she was little, we used to call her cochlear implant her ear. today, we refer to it as her bionic ear. this little device along with an internal portion allow her to hear.
now, she is growing up before my eyes, just as wonderful of a pre-teen as she was a child. she inspires me so much.

Sir Gray-a-Lot raced up the gorgeously sloped corridor, sparing a glance over his shoulder.
Gliding closer—hissing, retching, and bubbling—was the Bionic Plague. Black as darkness itself and spewing out hideous claws and tentacles, it devoured the boring gray walls of his beloved castle as it closed in.
He had to escape—had to find some way to outrace it before he was consumed as well. But his legs were losing strength fast. And somewhere in all that hissing, retching, and bubbling he thought he heard two tantalizing words tempting him to give in.
". . . MIXEL . . . JOINTS . . ."
No. He must not give in. No—he couldn't—NOOOOOOOOO
Overview:
So this is my first (complete) build in years now, made for the Big Bionicastle Contest. You could say it's a (not very clever) jab at both castle and bionicle, I guess.
The stonework technique is from Simon Hundsbichler. The sloped floor was done using the parts below:
