Without getting too far into the complicated story, I have another dog. A staghound, to be exact, and she's a wonderful, 4 1/2 month old pup who is already fitting in so very well with the other pups. She's a little bit skinny to my liking at her age, but we're working on that. Her father is mostly borzoi with greyhound mixed in, while her mother is greyhound/scottish deerhound/borzoi.
bindi/tikka/kumkum painted for the fun of it one evening, I may need to explore this further. . . and add it to a bridal repetoire. . .
Going with the picture... Bindi coming over to the door after playing in the mud. I just love it how the mud drips out of her mouth at the end! The face only a mommy can love.
What does this mean ? Young women help old wonen to place bindi on her forehead.
Bindi is a form of tilak, a symbolic mark worn by many Hindu men and women, but has less religious connotations than other tilaks. Once can see tilak on the forehead of saddhus.

Ian's first kiss. Bindi roomed with us, I came out of the OT shivering horribly. She only came to us after a couple of hours of rest. All swaddled up. She had marks on her head from the ops which cleared well within days, one particular one was on her forehead, like a bindi (indian 'dot'). My Bindi... :)
