This time it was Bindi's turn to "play" in the plant pot. I rescued her along with her four kittens 8 years ago, 3 of the kittens were adopted and I have remained in touch with the adopters. Sadly, her son, Batman, escaped from my house one day, and has not been seen since.
She is the smallest and most fierce of my cats (she can also be very lovable, on her terms, of course)! Named Bindi because of the mark on her forehead. “A bindi (Hindi: बिंदी, from Sanskrit बिन्दु bindú, meaning "point, drop, dot or small particle") is a coloured dot worn on the centre of the forehead, originally by Hindus and Jains from the Indian subcontinent. Bindi, who is the late Batman's Mom, has finally learned to play. She was semi wild when I took her in, along with her 4 kittens when she was about 8 months old. It has taken 5 years for her to learn that playing is fun. She has been a challenge, but is now a very affectionate cat.
