I made a binder cover for my children's church 3-ring binder. I really like the way it turned out. The whole thing is hand stitched on a felt base.
We're using a commercial epoxy as the fuel/binder for this small propellant lot. It's nice and stable, mechanically tough as hell, and hard to ignite (accidentally, I mean). Various commercial epoxy products have different formulations (different BPA types, hardener ratios, etc.) so we're experimenting with several and testing the results carefully. Additionally, some of these formulations generate water or gasses as they cure, and leave the propellant grain saturated with tiny cavities... this is a *very* bad thing, so we're tweaking our mixture to find the best recipe. We could degass the propellant (with a vacuum pump, etc.) but what a pain in the rear. Mix-n-go is my desired goal.
