this is a picture of a star that I took, and when I was playing with it in ps I noticed the other round bit that is next to it. now of course it must be a binary star, and not a planet but man it had me going for a bit. lol
I knitted this for Will last year, and it is actually readable (in ASCII of course). It took a very long time...

This is what you get when you use the shuffle described in the previous image rather than the positional bitwise-reverse.
Maybe binary counting works better than chords? Or draft up another swap scheme where distance between two points is something like "wormhole distance"... how many swaps + steps it takes to get from one bit to another.
The surface of the chair is completely covered with a collage of motherboards, computer chips, lcd screens and hard drive disks held in place by sheet metal screws. The chair also has an interactive quality as the hard drive disks can be spun, the telephone keys and other buttons can be pressed, and the antennae raised and adjusted.
Modification of the Binary scarf from Knitty, for Willow. Done in double knitting instead of circular; it's going to have one sentence in binary code at each end and be blank in the middle. (Willow chose the code-- the section shown here says "we are the machine" and the other end will say "the machine is us.") The blue yarn is Plymouth Dream Baby DK colorway 109 (50% acrylic microfiber, 50% nylon) and the grey is Dale of Norway Baby Ull colorway 0007 (100% superwash wool).
