Definitely not often that you see the binary representation of 37 in the wild.

First attempt at a custom QR code; this was kinda fun! I hope this isn't violating any Flickr policies; I was just testing the viability of using one of my iPhone drawings as a QR code to my site.

The design of this clock remains a little bit to the startreck lcars-interface. The four segments in the middle show the bits 8 and 4 (blue) and 2 and 1 (green).

The for segments in the outer show the quarter hours, dimming up in 15 steps corresponding to the minutes of every quarter.

“Binary System”

48" x 72" Mixed Media/Acrylic

Gallery wrapped canvas on

pine frame, ready to hang.

From sunrise to sunset you will

notice the larger sun growing from

deeper reddish hue to a lighter

orange shade. What a beautiful

tribute to a star system.

Inspiration point:

A binary star system is one where

two stars orbit each other. It is

estimated that roughly half of all

stars in the sky are members of

binaries.

Syracuse teen Evan Kulczynski says growing up nonbinary can be challenging. “A lot of people know that it can create confusion,” he said. “I wish people would ask.”

Happy belated birthday Emma!

Chaotic packing, drive down to, into, and across London to Plumstead to see Emma's renovated house (looking stunning) and celebrate her 40th birthday. I owe her a batch of caramel brownies and a wooden mushroom-growing log. Come and collect soon.

I foolishly allowed Niall to determine the candle arrangement - geeks will be able to discern Emma's age from the pattern. The rest of us will scratch her head and say binary what?

Anyway, lovely to see Em, catch up with old friends and make some news ones.

Ah, the cool beauty of scandinavian robots. I just wonder what the proper term for being bi-binary curious is - quaternary curious?

Also, a surviving phone booth! A rare sight.
