Walking on the bike track towards Kirkland from Rowrah July 2008

The Merri Creek trail near Brunswick, north of Melbourne. It's much greener than it has been for some time owing to the above average rainfall we've received. Merri Creek eventually flows into the yarra river. You wouldn't swim in it but there are fish and lots of water birds hanging around.

Plenty of gain at the final downhill section, though. Plus the promise of cold beer at the pub.

The biggest one, though the start section was probably comparable. Good to get a long view like this before ascending - a couple of false summits on the way up.
