Bicycles

Although I don’t ride a bike, well not at least for 40 odd years, there is something satisfying about a bike. It’s solid, reliable (mainly), an art form, it has a place in our society, an environmental champion, a pleasure and a serious competitor.

There aren’t many things in life that fulfil those criteria, there will always be those detractors but for me the bike is a hero.

I wasn't brave enough to approach these bikers to ask if I could get a shot of their bikes amongst the leaves UNTIL I saw one of them with a DSLR camera - That changed everything - I summoned up the courage to ask and they turned out to be the loveliest blokes, all with a great sense of humour.

Taken in Tenterfield.

Saw this cool gate made out of bike parts in Paris, somewhere in the 18th arrondissement (very close to the petite ceinture nord, metro stop "porte de clignancourt").
