I mean, heavy snowfall is a kind of weather and those are two bikes. Didn't say anything about it being a good idea to ride them, though.

Bill Withers_Lovely Day

When I wake up in the morning, love

And the sunlight hurts my eyes

And something without warning, love

Bears heavy on my mind

Then I look at you

And the world's alright with me

Just one look at you

And I know it's gonna be

A lovely day (lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

(Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

A lovely day (lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

(Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

When the day that lies ahead of me

Seems impossible to face

When someone else instead of me

Always seems to know the way

Then I look at you

And the world's alright with me

Just one look at you

And I know it's gonna be

A lovely day (lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

(Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

A lovely day (lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

(Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

When the day that lies ahead of me

Seems impossible to face

And when someone else instead of me

Always seems to know the way

Although I don’t ride a bike, well not at least for 40 odd years, there is something satisfying about a bike. It’s solid, reliable (mainly), an art form, it has a place in our society, an environmental champion, a pleasure and a serious competitor.

There aren’t many things in life that fulfil those criteria, there will always be those detractors but for me the bike is a hero.

140km road bike ride at Yorkshire Dales. This time I found a cycling buddy, Adam who suggested the Malham climb as a main attraction of a day. Cycling there from home was some 70km and about 1000m climbing already so it was quite a challenge. Photo is made somewhere further on the shorter uphill part. Road bike paradise. Only the temperature was barely above 0*C

This bike was placed in the sunflower field at the Chilliwack Sunflower festival. There are nearly 20 acres of beautiful blooming sunflowers in 35 different varieties, as well as several varieties of Dahlias.

This photo is from my first camera in 2014, the Canon SX50. A wire sculpture of a monkey riding a bike. I edited in Topaz Studio 1/PSE 17 and added a distressed texture to it.

A lonely old rusting bike - staying warm only by sunlight.

I may need to try a Winter shot on this one.
