I know, certainly not the first and surely not the last, but, it is a really big and interesting wheel from the truck in the previous shot.
The big gear just keeps thundering down this highway, day and night and any times that may exist in between.

Another archive shot....
Taken last year two days before Christmas, I have envisioned this shot in my head and am ready with my camera every time I hear a snowplow coming down my street. But my photo in my head consist of a lot more snow flying around from the plow. So I will be waiting at the ready again this year, to get the shot that I want with it snowing and a big cloud of snow from the plows.

It's the 1960s and the RF&P has delivered a car to the Richmond docks that is being off loaded to several trucks. Actually, this is a static display in 2010 at the VMT.

The prime visitor attraction in the centre of Logan Lake BC is a 200+ ton haul truck and a mine shovel.
The shovel, as locals refer to it, is a 195B Bucyrus Erie mining shovel with a 13-metre bucket, parked next to a 235-ton ore haulage truck.
The shovel and the Wabco # 50 truck were a gift to the District of Logan Lake by the Highland Valley Copper Mine in February 1990. They were placed on the site 02 February.
When operational, the shovel boasted a 2500 horsepower GM Electromotive engine.
The payload capacity of the truck was 470,000 pounds.

Massive dump truck making it's way down Gardiner Expressway. Very much prefer to be up top snapping a pic than on the road next to it.

"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11
Last week on Friday, I was joined by one of the best in the business when it comes to Kite Aerial Photography. Michael and I went to go shooting up in Richmond, and happened upon the Richmond Sanitary Service. It was getting close to dinner time, so most of the dump trucks were neatly parked in this huge parking lot. We went inside the facility to ask permission to fly our kites in their yard, and we were pleasantly surprised that the manager granted our wishes.
This is a shot looking down on the trucks that haul dumpsters around. The camera is only about 30-40 feet off the ground for this photo.
