Nevada can be sparse, as is much of the landscape in this area. The giant cottonwood trees add amazing beauty and famously grow near rivers, creeks & canals.
This is a view from our small parcel which has a stand of cottonwoods as well, and a canal lacing around and through it.
Gorgeous colors & ambiance out here in the boonies of Nevada.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Moro Rock is a granite dome rock formation in Sequoia National Park, California, United States. It is located in the center of the park, at the head of Moro Creek, between Giant Forest and Crescent Meadow. A stairway, designed by the National Park Service and built in 1931, is cut into and poured onto the rock, so that visitors can hike to the top.Wikipedia

This is the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree in the world. Enlarge to see the people standing at its base and you'll get some perspective.
Other trees are taller or wider, but none has the combined weight and width of this leviathan. The General Sherman Tree measures 103 feet around, and soars 275 feet into the blue Sierra sky—and it’s still growing. Every year it adds enough wood to make another 60-foot-tall tree.
Still can’t grasp the size? One branch of the General Sherman is so big—almost 7 feet in diameter—that if were a stand alone tree, it would be larger than most trees east of the Mississippi River.
