This heron was some 200+Mtrs away. Still the detail is there. Tighter crop below.

Taken at Langford Lakes near Wilton this tufted duck provided a good test for the 7D MkII with the Bigron on the front. Very pleased with the clarity here.

This is at about 40 Mtrs away. The gulls use the fresh water from a local stream to bath and preen in. Again I find the sharpness impressive here. Tighter crop below.

Some 80Mtrs or so away from me and enjoying a crab. Again the detail in this is excellent compared to my 70-300mm. Tighter crop below.

Happy with this? You bet. For a first outing and on an old 8Mp camera I is one happy chap. Exif as before.

Now for the real test. My first BIF shot with the new Tamron. This was about the sixth in a series of eight shots taken as I tracked this Gull across my field of view. The old 30D at 3 frames per second and only 9 AF points did struggle a bit to do the job, but the result speaks for itself. Shots like this should be a breeze for the 7D MkII so I'm counting down the days. Tighter crop below.
