Between the showers here in the UK we have had a few of good days of the sun showing its head, where we think that Spring might be here..lol..
Then we get heavy rains, strong winds and if feels like Autumn again..

A drill bit in between the jaws of a drill chuck! I tried a different lens this week, a 1980sPentax-M-zoom 1:2.8~4 40-80mm lens, with 1 inch of macro tubes fitted, speedlight pointing straight up bouncing off the ceiling, HMM!

I'm still so behind with catching up and I'm so sorry for that but school is taking over my life and I really hate that. The weather is so great and I honestly wish I would take more photos. Unfornately my pro account expires in 5 days :(
Next week my french exchage student will be here but I think that's definitely gonna be great :)

To be fair the birds were there all the time even when it was chucking it down and I only went out with the camera if the rain stopped and the sun came out.
Luckily during one of these brief forays the female Nuthatch approached the feeders and stayed long enough on this nearby branch for me to grab a couple of shots.

I saw this cute tennis racket backdrop at Backdrop City and immediately brought images to my mind of those sweaty moments between sets: sun beating down; the sweat cooling on you; and that sip of icy cold water giving you the chills. Hope the pic gives you a little of the same feeling. Here is an odd sight - the backdrop seems like a fake movie set design. The settlement behind and to the right are using snow shovels to clear their drives, the people in the foreground cutting their grass.

At the last exit off my favorite U.S. highway—US-64 East, between Rocky Mount and Manteo—just after crossing the Croatan Sound… Although my destination is usually just a few miles ahead (Manteo, Nags Head, etc.), I always stop here to enjoy the sunset.
I don’t know why I love driving this particular stretch of highway, but each time, I experience a strange fusion of anticipation, freedom, and joy—tinged with a quiet melancholy. Perhaps it’s the weight of past travels along this same path, the moments left behind, pressing so heavily that they become something resigned yet strangely poetic.
