"Dead Houses that Don't Suck" -- an email list that generated a small sense of exclusivity, which strengthens loyalty.
Sense of group identity. "You and me: our destinies are intertwined." e.g. buying enough of a food item for everyone to enjoy it.
Having a house name -- Franklin's Tower -- created a group identity that included non-residents: friends, significant others, etc.
The house space was interactive and participatory, e.g. the Timeline of world history along the staircase, the fridge, the kitchen wall.
Diversity: we had some age diversity. But no racial diversity.
Dead House complex supports community: no fences and unlocked doors.
That day I was sitting behind s/s all day long, listening to Lazarev from my cellphone. We were young. My ass, too.
it was the second summer week I spent there.
и это было последнее лето перед школой.
