A winters day walk around Cossington Meadow. A lovely bracing day, the ice was getting thick on the water, which explained why the Swans were in the Sheep Fields!

It almost snowed today, should that be my picture of the day ... No it should be a picture of what I was really doing today; stripping the wallpaper off the walls ready for a new coat of paint. Mmmm now what colour should we choose?

Aalst, BELGIUM
We did this series of pictures in an old factory near Aalst. I'm not used to shooting strobist-style so this can hopefully get you over your fear to just try it & be amazed by the results you can get using only 1 off-camera flash.

Wow only ten more days to go. I am so enjoying this challenge. It snowed over night, but by lunchtime it had started to melt.

Snow Pansies. These little guys are sheltering under their snowy blanket just waiting for the sun to come out and warn everything up. I think you will have a few more days to wait little guys.

Fork Handles - Four Candles. In the UK there is a Famous TV Program called the Two Ronnies, they did a routine called Fork Handles. My local camera club have a weekly theme on Facebook this week the theme is candles.

My reward for completing my 50 day challenge ... a cup of coffee. Not just any coffee but @lavazzauk coffee. I discovered Lavazza Rossa coffee beans during the first uk lockdown. Now I enjoy the strength and flavour for my morning cup of coffee. Thanks Luigi.

So what happens next for my challenges? Still a picture a day but now using some of the lenses and cameras I have ignored during this challenge.

My new friend arrived today. its a @thinktankphoto Retrospective 5 version 2. I have have the version 1 since getting my Fujifilm xPro2 camera. The bag and the camera have travelled many miles around SouthEast Asia and in Europe and has been a great bag, but is now going into retirement and the new bag is going to take over. I still have a Retrospective 30 for the days I need to take lots of gear to a Wedding.

A Snow Day. In the Midlands of the UK we don't get as much snow as the North of England or Scotland. We listen to the weather forecast and say 'I bet that misses us' and it normally does. But yesterday down it came with big flakes, then last night it went to -4c. So today when we woke up we still had snow! Yay!

A good friend of mine photographed some daffodils this week @davebeck this made me think that I just love daffodils and the feeling they bring that spring is near.

I walk past and drive past this piece of 'Street Art' often.
It has been here almost since the beginning of the 1st Lockdown. It still moves me with its thoughts. And the building that it's on is part of the Hospitality Sector and has been closed now for nearly a year. My thoughts go with them as well. In the window there is still a Snowman ... just waiting. And across the street the Thatched Pub and also closed, flood defences at its front door ... just in case.

Today I was inspired for my 28th image by these brave yellow pansies and their neighbouring red berries. The snow has all but gone and these just shine with happiness.
