Imperial Sodbuster (IMP22Y) pocket knife and JetBeam Jet-1 MK LED flashlight with paracord wrist lanyard for EDC, and a pocket square/handkerchief.

 

The paracord wrist lanyard has a two-strand Matthew Walker knot and wooden bead with 1.4mm cord gaucho interweave knot, and is ring/cow/girth hitch/lark's head attached to the flashlight's split ring.

 

The 2018 41st Annual Geranium Festival in McDonough, GA is today (May 19th), and I live within a mile and a half of the town square.

Schmuckatelli Co. sent me a few more beads to work with, including this Jester skull bead in pewter, which I've added to a toggle knot fob, using 'The Ashley Book of Knots' number 615, based on an 8 lead 3 bight Turk's head knot. A few more items that I'd ordered last November showed up this week, too late to use as stocking stuffers, so will probably go into the gadget drawer until next Christmas or added to an EDC keyring/keychain paracord lanyard setup and sold on ebay...

I just came back from 4 days of Webelos Adventure Camp at the Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation in Brookville, NJ with my son and 8 other Cub Scouts. It certainly was an adventure. Webelos is a time of transition for 4th and 5th grade boys from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. For many of them this was their first time overnight without Mom or Dad. Thank goodness I had 2 other leaders with me. It was a trial, but also rewarding and wonderful.
