My cousins on the day of Alam Nashrah (First day of the Quran reading class) One of my cousins may have taken this picture.
Yesterday we went into Central London. We had a glass of wine with lunch and popped into Camper where I bought my first pair of "proper" heels from Camper. Must have been all that drink because I can't walk in them at all (I bought my last pair of heels when we got married and after the ceremony took them off, staying barefoot for the rest of the day). Thankfully they are called beginner heels, so I am hoping get the hang of them soon.
Anyways, here is a pic of me looking at the sales window of Paul Smith.
Afterwards we went to the Canaletto who used a wide angle lens and lots of filters...and a touch of HDR with oodles of dodging and burning.
Our dearest Sonja took me to her "special spot" for my first attempt at shooting the sunset. Although I love a beautiful sunset as much as the next person, somehow I don't know if that's my thing - well, simply because I suck at it!! :) Gimme something to focus on dammit!! LOL
But I'll keep trying...
An illustration from Kelly Link's story "Magic for Beginners", and also the beginning of a beautiful friendship: Fox, librarian at the Free Peoples' World Tree Library, battles the statue of George Washington in the Angela Carter Memorial Garden (and yes, the story is that wonderful).
Pen and ink line drawing with colour and texture added in Photoshop.
