haha! Everywhere I go I see patterns for dishcloths and I'm like... who would actually wash dishes with one of these? But I've read so many stories about complete dishcloth-converts that I decided to make one. It was good garter stitch practise if nothing else. I don't think I'll use it to wash dishes though, maybe just for wiping benches down.

I couldnt think of anything to photograph, so i just decided to take pictures of my sister Destinee's dance tiaras and awards. She likes to take them down from her special shelf and show them to me and she already had them out so i just decided to take pictures of these. Her dance group is called SuperNovae, and they have four age divisions, six years is Starz, seven years is Planets, eight years is Galaxies and their last and final year, ninth, is Supernova. The dance all together is Supernovae. :)

They enter water in a controlled environemnt, the outlet from the Morro Bay electric power plant. Recycled cooling water (no waste, nothing harmful in it) returning to the ocean is slightly warmer but the current is very swift. A good place for noobies to practice swimming in a swift current before they encounter the real thing.

However, Amy still had enough points to take the overall omnium for the weekend. She was really strong. I encouraged her to upgrade... soon.
More experiments with my Papershoot camera. The overall depth of field is amazing for such a simple camera, and the exposure latitude I calculate is about 6 stops more or less. It has been alot of fun learning about a new technology. Did run into the standard aspect - battery life, which is something never an issue with old analogue approaches! Thanks to the flickeranians who continue to inspire!
I was out on a walk at lunch and saw these birds I thought were vultures. (I was so excited to see a vulture from the ground instead of in the air.) I took a couple of shots and said to myself, "these don't look vultures". It really was my lucky day seeing the pair of Golden Eagles. Must be beginner's luck.
