riding in my car, armed with a new license and a powerful feeling of freedom. salty sea air and spring wisping through the open window, a humid haze down the road. kelly green oaks form a tunnel over me with little bits of sunflower sunlight peeking through and reflecting off my sunglasses. still sand between my toes and on my knees, my feet hurting in a good way. my pants a bit damp from walking in too deep, but i don't really mind. beautiful inspiration fills my head like the waves fill my soul with calm. that feeling that nothing is wrong and everything is right. this is a new beginning.

Art Street Galleries at Seiiki, includes one Main Gallery and two smaller galleries, lining a japanese inspired street, located in the sky above Seiiki. The Art Street Galleries host many well-known photographic artists. Currently on exhibit in three of the street mini-galleries are the beautiful photography series of artists Adam Cayden, Nekonuko Nakamori, and Ticha Nyx. The exhibit begins February 6th and ends March 27th.

Nachdem eben der letzte Tag des Jaunar 2020 begonnen hat switche nochmal zurück zum ersten Tag dieses Jahres. Ich hab euch nochmal ein Foto vom Sonnenaufgang heraus gekramt und bearbeitet.

After almost a week of vicious fighting through the icy ruins, the clanker command decided to pull out its remaining forces and surrender the port.
As soon as the droid forces retreated into their base in the cave systems to the north we all finally had some time to rest up and regroup. Everyone except for the ARF elements that is.
While the rest of the 253rd legion got to resupply and rest within the city ruins, my recon group was sent back out into the frigid cold to look for any pockets of remaining droids.
Bolt and I got sent to the eastern outskirts of the city. This sector of the city had been evacuated by the droids first and hadn't seen activity in two days. We didn't expect to find much.
[CL-8675]Jockey: See anything from up there?
[CT-2255]Bolt: Nothin but ice. Just a giant flat plain of ice. Ice over there. Ice over here. Ice on the ground. Ice on my armour. Ice...
Jockey: Ok. Shut up. I get it, there's lots of ice. Any activity on that ice?
Bolt: Looks like a storm is picking up several clicks to the east. That's it.
Jockey: Ill inform command about that.
Jockey on comm: Come in command this is CL-8675 reporting from recon patrol 14. Over.
Command: We read you CL-8675. What's your patrol's status?
Jockey: We've completed our sweep of the sector. Not detecting any functional droids nor any forms of life in the vicinity. Sector secure. However, we are picking up a storm about 11 clicks east-northeast of our position. Over.
Command: Well take a look at that. Your patrol is free to return to base. Over.
Jockey: Alright Bolt, let's get out of here.
Bolt: Don't have to tell me twice. The damn quartermaster division couldn't even equip us with the right gear. The ice crystals are starting to build up on my visor.
Jockey: Bolt, I swear if you say ice one more time I'm going to ship you back to Kamino on janitorial duties.
Bolt: Loud and clear lieutenant. Loud and clear.

The Palouse is rapidly wakening up. The winter wheat and tees are greening up and the farmers are busy prepping the fields and planting the spring crop.
A bluebottle on my fence :-) , the arrival of this fatty means one thing ... FLY SEASON!!! , Bring on the flies , bring on the fence .... get the skateboard ready ???!

Na een erg goed begin van de dag in de heuvels van Luxemburg-stad trok ik per bus verder naar Walferdange voor wat foto’s met het fraaie stationsgebouw. Nadien trok ik verder richting het noordelijke eindpunt en na nog een stop in Cruchten naderde ik langzaam maar zeker Diekirch. Ik besloot echter op de voorlaatste halte Ettelbruck uit te stappen om dan per bus richting Diekirch te reizen. De meeste bussen rijden daar namelijk via de parallelweg langs het enkelsporige lijnstuk en daar wilde ik nog graag een foto van de Z2’s. Gezien ik maar zeer weinig tot geen foto’s van plekken vond op Flickr was dat een plan op goede hoop maar ik achtte het wel kansrijk getuige Google Maps. Hoewel de (voor zover) bekende plekken ten noorden van het spoor liggen nam ik genoegen met een foto bezuiden het spoor. Immers draait de zon eind september amper over het spoor ’s avonds maar daarnaast zat ik vrijdagavond in het uiterste zuiden van ’t land. Terwijl de Z2’s die mij naar Ettelbruck brachten al in Diekirch keerden voor hun terugrit kon ik nét op tijd met de bus ter plaatse komen om na wat improviseren de volgende foto te maken:
Na het duo ’s ochtends op de “Eisebunnsbreck” in Luxemburg vast te leggen, tref ik de CFL 2020 & 2009 net na het middaguur opnieuw en ditmaal op het korte, enkelsporige lijntje dat Diekirch met Ettelbruck verbindt. Nabij het amper 1000 inwoners tellende dorp Ingeldorf passeert het tweetal als RB 3637 naar de hoofdstad, gelukkig tijdens een van de zeldzame momenten dat de drukke N-weg vrijwel leeg was…
