Ok, I know - *another* image of Tipsoo Lake and Mount Rainier. What I should have done (but obviously did not) was put the photos into a series showing the progression of sunrise over this spot. You can see in my previous postings, one pre-sunrise and the other at sunrise. This one was captured during the beginning of sunrise.
It's an interesting thing, and I don't know if it's just here at Mount Rainier National Park, or if it's anywhere there are snowcapped mountains: when the sun begins to rise, what you see first is a sort of white light from the sun that begins to bathe the mountain. Then, after more of the sun is above the horizon, the light becomes a gold-orange-pink brilliance that only lasts a minute before settling into a blinding light that eventually overexposes the mountain snow.
Anyway, as soon as I saw that kiss of light on the mountain top, I knew sunrise was beginning in earnest.

Back to the sunflower field where there is a distinct "end of season" feel to the place, although this one looks about ready to perform the finale. It's not quite Autumn yet although the weather has taken a turn for the worse. But in some parts of the world everything will already be waking up again.

I captured this image in Canyonlands NP on a foggy morning. This place is amazing and around every turn there is another landscape to explore.

"A good journey starts with five things. The clatter of dice and the scratching of pen on paper. The laughter of friends and clanking of tankards. And your imagination."
I have finally found the first crocuses in a nearby park. Most of the ones I saw had been flattened by the frost and looked rather miserable but luckily there were a few photogenic ones too.

The B42 crew on this B41 begins the 2.5 hour task of spotting and pulling CF industries at Tank Spur. This place mainly unloads anhydrous ammonia tanks. In the winter time these places go crazy cause the cold air condenses the gas making it easier to unload and transport the product. The crew has 39 to setout and about the same to pickup. These places kind of suck on a local cause the haz mat has to be buried and you don't want to hold this stuff the rest of the trip to do the work, so this work will be done behind a bunch of cars. The loads to spot are on the main, as the crew picks up the empties 1st. This is the Sheldon Sub between Mason City and Spencer.
The roe deer is a relatively small deer, with a body length of 95–135 cm (3 ft 1 in – 4 ft 5 in) throughout its range, and a shoulder height of 63–67 cm (2 ft 1 in – 2 ft 2 in), and a weight of 15–35 kg (35–75 lb). Populations from Urals and northern Kazakhstan are larger on average growing to 145 cm (4 ft 9 in) in length and 85 cm (2 ft 9 in) at shoulder height, with body weights of up to 60 kg (130 lb), with the deer populations becoming smaller again further east in the Transbaikal, Amur Oblast, and Primorsky Krai regions.[citation needed] In healthy populations, where population density is restricted by hunting or predators, bucks are slightly larger than does. Under other conditions, males can be similar in size to females, or slightly smaller..
Bucks in good conditions develop antlers up to 20–25 cm (8–10 in) long with two or three, rarely even four, points. When the male's antlers begin to regrow, they are covered in a thin layer of velvet-like fur which disappears later on after the hair's blood supply is lost. Males may speed up the process by rubbing their antlers on trees, so that their antlers are hard and stiff for the duels during the mating season. Unlike most cervids, roe deer begin regrowing antlers almost immediately after they are shed.

Week 13: Line from a song
We are living the moment more than ever, each day is a new beginning and everyday is time to begin... ♥
I had this T-Shirt and I knew from moment one I was going to use it for the theme. I asked Miguel to feel the music. That was fine, but I just got the emotion I was looking for when he was singing the spanish intro of Doraemon :))
Take care you all and have a great weekend!
Isn't every year? Thought I'd begin this one with another portrait of the muse that contributed to the start of all this 14 or so years ago.

It was such a coincidence that I got front row seats. I was walking to a souvenir shop and the lady told me to stop right here because the parade was about to begin. Watching this parade made everyone so happy. There's just something about Disney that makes things so magical :)
