it's a bit rare that i'd post photos with models, i'm more of a street and candid person, but this image struck me as a "moment"...when it begins, maybe.

It's been a while since I've played with macros and I was looking forward to shooting some of the home grown crystals from one of my son's experiments. Had to wait for a good light in my kitchen and was able to find it yesterday. Especially, since it's too bloody cold to go outside (this morning windchill got to -35oC again and it hasn't been much warmer for the past couple of days..). So here are the results of my recent fun. Hope you like it :)

Looking north from Peebles Island towards the Marina at Waterford. This is the entrance into the Erie/Barge Canal from the Hudson River.
These style signals are almost extinct. Therefore another peek at this set wouldn't hurt. NP 1967 end of double track Gregory(Little Falls)MN, CTC installed 1964 extends to Staples,MN. US Hwy 10 on right. Eastside line across 10 thru junkyard and past Airport Drive in Theatre to Brainerd split off here to the right. Dates me.

Once again kickball is on for me and I'm planning on recreating my theme outfits for all of you once more. This go around, the season is ongoing so looking to post once a week at least until the season ends. Met the team and despite a loss, was a solid outing for all. (I personally held down my part of the outfield to the tune of 2 diving catches. Getting better by the week.

Photo session with the elk herd on the Hearst Castle Ranch. We are looking for elk fight images this season.
I've been completely out of action for the last few weeks, engaged in work and other matters. FINALLY I got back outside with the camera and now have some new stuff to share; a big and sudden lack of enthusiasm ensued as well but luckily I got my spark back. Good to be back!!
These little ones are growing on my balcony and answering to the call of Spring. Being that this is my favourite time of year I hope to get out more in the next few days and beyond.
