I have a large Lavender plant in my garden, which is helping to make some tasty honey somewhere close, just don't know where...
I have not been able to identify this bee which I think is one of the Megachile species. Can anyone help with this one, please?

Bee having a field day in a dandelion flower - you can even see the pollen being flung off to the left as he cleans himself...
I think this may be Bombus pascuorum! But having discovered the Bees, Wasps & Ants Recording Society website which has 100's photos of all the different bees I am struck again how difficult it is to identify these amazing creatures!
Any ID help gratefully received!
Bumble-bees on lavender in St Chloe. There were loads of these, coming and going continually. The buggers didn't stay still for very long, though — I wound up taking loads of shots, and then picking out the best couple!

Sadly, found this blue banded bee deceased on our footpath. We don't see them very often, and they are very quick, so took the opportunity to get some photos of one close up.
They are a native bee to Australia.
