Mark's In and Out Hamburger stand in Livingston. Mark’s In & Out Beefburgers is an original 50’s drive-in established in 1954. Mark’s serves a 50’s style menu of burger, fries, footlong hot-dogs and chili dogs. We use local beef, ground and pattied fresh daily. Located on 8th and Park Street. Get the small chocolate shake, the big ones are too much.

Porkalicious. The meat department. Some of the delights we were treated too. Veggie and proper sausages; chippolatas; medallians and not on stage yet, homemade beefburgers. Everything cooked to perfection.

And on that basis seems like the perfect chap to wander off into the wilderness with for the next few days...
We met the evening before this at Rowardennan youth hostel when we got talking with John, Imogen and Henry. My first sight of Scot was in the youth hostel kitchen where I was jealous that he had cheese. My first sight of John and the kids was moments later when I was jealous of their beefburgers and eggs. Once I'd eaten my miserable pasta and sauce we all ended up talking over a map of the next day's walk. Too late to nab anyone's food though. The plan is for the two of us to walk together today and see if we go at the same pace. Later on John and the kids are due to catch up with us at Beinglas Farm campsite for the night where apparently there is a good pub.
