;-) my first bee of the year, it was looking a bit bedraggled actually from the heavy downpour today! That's how I managed to get so close because it was acting very slow! I put a drop of sugar honey syrup on m y finger and encouraged the bee to walk onto my finger - it soon got the idea

There were probably over 30 bees working away on this plant. It's one of the only times I can get close enough to them to get some good shots. Had a dozen or so good ones to pick from.

While breaking our fasting, I saw this bee sipping some water on our plastic plate mat. After he finished drinking some water, he rubbed his face and mouth.....this was the action taken in this picture. Enjoy viewing my photostream. Thank you.
