The flowering chives in my garden have attracted many bees this spring. One in particular was this species. It is possibly a Red Mason Bee but can anyone confirm my identification.
the bee came into the shot. One thing the Pen camera does not do well is focus quickly. So, the bee isn't in focus, but I post this because I like seeing the pollen on the bee's back.

A face that only a mother could love. This female Bee Wolf posies outside it's nesting burrow at Kirkby. Our largest Wasp but not aggressive to humans like it's more common relative, but a horror to Honey bee workers were it captures them for it's grubs deep inside the burrow.

First time trying to get a lens within inches of a bee (of which there were quite a few buzzing around uncomfortably close).
Big up to you brave macro bug shooters.
Any criticism welcome!
