Africa's Tiny Beauty - Join my photo tour in August?

Little Bee-eater

One of my favorite birds in Africa, the tiny green and yellow gem is beautiful, and so much fun to watch. They keep the air clean of wasps, dragonfly's, horsefly's, and other pests.

They fly like lightening, so a very tough flight shot., but I will definitely give this a try on our next tour this summer. Details here!

We will also visit the Mara River Wildebeests Crossings, one of natures most amazing spectacles! This is prime season for the crocodiles to be looking for massive food supply's as the animals cross the river.

A bee on the lavender showing off its furry butt. HBBBT!

From my archives. SOOC other than the crop.

Our two daughters are still home from college, so it's going to be a busy weekend. By the way, we also have three sons at home (13, 15, 18) and a married son in law school. So we're ALWAYS busy with family activities. And I do find it hard to keep up with Flickr sometimes, just like all of you do. But I love to see your new posts. They are beautiful and inspiring! I appreciate you taking the time to view my photos, and I especially enjoy your comments. In the days ahead I'll be catching up with you. Have a great weekend!

Little bees buzzy working in the park among the lavender..

Come in busy twos and threes

Humming over!

All without a theory

Quite successfully, you see;

Little priests that wed the flowers,

Little preachers in their way,

Through the sunny working day

With their quite unconscious powers

How they say their simple say.
