A beduin man walking across the Sahara desert. One of my most powerful travel experiences was spending a night in the Sahara desert, accompanied my local beduins and their camels.
This is the basic form for my ground loom. Originally I was going to use the 2x4s to set the heddle bar on, but the bar rolled too much. It is a large sheat of wood, some long nails, dowels, and some rolls of electrical tape to give space under the bracing bars.

Erg Chebbi is one of Morocco's several ergs – large seas of dunes formed by wind-blown sand. It is located on the far western edge of the Sahara Desert. There are several other ergs in Morocco, such as Erg Chigaga near M'hamid.
In places, the dunes of Erg Chebbi rise to 150 meters from the surrounding hamada (rocky desert) and altogether span an area of approximately 28 kilometers from north to south and 5–7 kilometers from east to west lining the Algerian border.
