Our Daily Challenge 24-30 Nov: Nest
I bought this new unused dog bed in a charity shop for only £5 and it was an immediate success with Fritz. But Rosie isn't certain she is allowed!
I'm not sure we're done here yet...:-)
My husband built the nightstands, and the painting above the bed is one of mine.
I moved the bed into the corner so it would be out of the way. Right
now I have a 10' square of open space in the center of the room
surrounded by everthing else.

Yeah, those are colored lights behind the bed. One really cool thing is that the switch on the bed next to the phone controls all the lights in the room. Flip it off and all the lights go off. Convenient! What was odd, though, is that the bed came with two narrow blankets; one for each of us. I didn't like that.
Siegfried loved the great outdoors but refused to leave the comforts of home at home.

My parents gave us some money to buy a bed when we got married. Seven years later, we bought one! Also: Every day I try to think "What would M do if I were away for a month?" Today, the answer was "Move furniture around". I like the results. I hope she does, too.
In my small hotel room there's not really a place to properly sit, so I'm just going to sit on the bed. Well, sitting? Not so much I guess, it's more like playfully fooling around. I took off my high heels so all that's left are soft silky fabrics that won't damage anything, which gives me full freedom to play around on the bed just the way I want. Let's start on the knees...
Here is a view of the quilt I made for the bed. I hand dyed the fabric and created stencils to decorate it. The quilt is machine pieced and quilted. It is an 8" square.

Oyster beds at Merimbula, New South Wales, Australia. This is known as the Oyster Coast for this reason, lots of oysters are produced along this coastal area. A few black swans fossicking in the oyster beds.
