Brown or Grizzly Bear (ursus arctos) named "Scout" adusting a few items in the bedding materials to create a comfortable day bed for his nap. Grizzly bears in San Diego do not tuck in for long winter sleeps like their wild cousins. In our cooler months they eat a lot less and sleep most of the time, but can still often be seen foraging for favorite foods.

This bedding Dahlia has come up with some strange petal markings this year. They have survived 5 winters now just left in the ground & never lifted. Proves how mild our winters have become.

They've begun putting 'em out in Hesketh Park. I've no idea what these are called, but I love 'em just the same.

CROSS-BEDDING, a recent "accident" in my exploration of in-camera multiple exposure. Cross-bedding is a geologic phenomenon where deposition from a flowing medium, water or wind, occurs on an inclined surface, such as a ripple and dune. (Check out Wikipedia for more info.) My ME studies seek to accentuate the geologic layering of the landscape I live in, both external and internal.

*NEW* Tower Transit MV38203, LJ17WRD, at Marble Arch on route 23 to Westbourne Park.

This batch of Evosetis at Westbourne Park (X) are for the take-over of route 82 from Metroline, which gets renumbered as route 13, from the 1st of April. So far three of the vehicles have entered service on the 23 to bed them into service, and one would presume to improve driver familiarisation of the vehicles.

isn't this supposed to be the place where the magic happens?

so, not for me, as the bed points directly @ the library, but still there are books stashed. i think i might have an addiction! quick, help!

in actuality, this bed is nearly 100% recycled (linens purchased @ a sample sale). those are pallets i lugged in, cleaned, &tc. to give my bed a well deserved lift. and of course, there's the storage factor. seems i can never have enough books, or interesting places in which to store them!

Rather fussy plants, the key to succes is not to keep them too wet... Perfect solution is growing them in pots and watering from the bottom - i.e. dunking them in the water or like in this case - leaving water in a soucer so they can take it that way. After flowering just keep watering - their resting period is in summer, so just put them somewhere in the garden to sleep ;-) They will wake up at the end of Summer / beginning of Autumn - and like in this case start producing flowers again. Deadheading helps as well :-)

A up close view of the bedding in the Greybull Sandstone (Cretaceous) shows the crossbeds. This outcrop lies on the Red Gulch Road just a little over a mile and ahalf from where the road starts near Shell, Wyoming.

I can only assume that it is getting to nesting time and this little friend is gathering up leaves to make some nice bedding in it's den.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my little space here on Flickr. We are expecting nasty weather this weekend and possibilities of power outages so if I don't get back to you right away you will understand Mother Nature is playing around.

The layers or beds represent different layers of slit that are deposited at different times. The layers indicate the angle of wind or water was moving at the time the material was deposited.

The grandpa decided that for xmas he would help Father Xmas and so he set about making a doll's house. Now he didn't just make any dolls house, oh no, he designed it from scratch and made it up as he went along. This house has a roller door for the garage, a shower with glass panel, double beds, single beds, bunk beds, tables and chairs, lounge furniture, stairs that lead to the bedroom etc. It is still in his workshop and too dark to photograph. Last night I set about making bedding for the beds, here are the mattrass, cushion, blanket, duvet and comforter. They look comfortable don't they? This is what it looks like in real life on the week-ends.

Oh the beautiful little wooden dolls I bought in Germany, they are Krebs dolls and absolutely exquisite
