One of my favorite spots to shoot in Toronto is the balcony of the Sky Dragon restaurant in Chinatown. You get a great view of the Toronto skyline as well as aerial views up and down Spadina. It's fantastic and you don't even need to eat at the restaurant!
I decided to have a little bit of post-processing fun with Tiltshiftmaker. I haven't done one of these in probably a year. haha. Fun stuff.

Barking Travelodge from outside the bed bug petting zoo. I see all the reviews have been taken down from Google, I wonder why that was...
Esta chinche es muy común, quizás de las especies más abundantes en la Sierra de Huelva, muy fácil encontrar adultos y ninfas en zonas donde la humedad mantiene plantas verdes durante el verano.

With nowhere else to stay we climbed a metal security door and crashed out on a small seemingly abandoned terrace between two apartment blocks. Come morning an angry man with a shovel in his hand told us to fuck off in heavily accented French.
This photo is part of the set Barcelona Nights.
Tony was in a vestibule on Van Buren and Michigan. He tries to rent a small room when he can. He could stay in the shelter, but there are bedbugs there, so he avoids it. What he needs most is food. He was looking for a food depository so he could get a few things. He said he trusts God for his food. "Can't blame him for that", he said.

Don't let it bite...
My colleague Jamie and I went on a photo hunt today looking for abandoned sites. This is one of his first such hunts. We went north up towards the Canadian border to some very unpopulated areas.
These were taken either with the Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 or the Fujinon 35mm f/2.0.

A cute bedbug by Sebastian Arellano.
Only the mosquito left in the book! Actually, I'm thinking about folding the titan beetle again out of double tissue because I only folded it once and I wasn't completely satisfied with it.
Diagrammed in: Origami Masters Bugs
Folded from: one 6" square of Double tissue
Size: 1.75" long
Time spent folding: ~1 hour
