Construction begining to convert a former Bed, Bath & Beyond to a new Marshall's store.
You can also see the vacancy left behind by Famous Footwear to the left of Petco. That space would become a relocated Bath & Body Works.

I was on my way to buy some holiday stuff at bedbathandbeyond when I noticed this eclipse. Luckily I had my camera on me! I loooove sunflares.
Well, what do you know? The "lease expiring" sale I visited in August really led to the store's closure.
At first, I was unsure since was no explicit announcement or wording of this quiet closing. Even then, the tone of the previous signs did point in a way that the store would be shuttered. The closure likely happened sometime in late September/early October according to the papers in the window. The store closure leaves greater Manassas without a Bed Bath & Beyond store, an anomaly since many other big-box stores still have a presence in town and no successor is planned.
Only a few days after this photo was taken, the letters were removed from the building. Consider me lucky to snap this just in time?

The local LUG (KC BrickLab) had a competition for Mechas. Mine ended up looking like a bathtub on legs so I just went with it.

It’s hard to believe that Easter is less than one week away. I took this picture of a white Easter bunny with black back in January, before the Coronavirus crisis hit. It seems like years ago now. Time certainly isn’t flying these days!

It’s hard to believe that Easter is less than one week away. I took this picture of a white Easter bunny with black back in January, before the Coronavirus crisis hit. It seems like years ago now. Time certainly isn’t flying these days!

Exterior signage being removed from the already closed Bed Bath and Beyond store in Olathe (closed around February 2023). The company has been struggling for several years, culminating in its bankrupcy earlier this year.
It's been years since I set foot inside this particular store - always with one of those 20% off coupons I received in the mail.

Hanukkah celebrates religious freedom. We overcame a vastly superior Syriac Greek army. That in itself was a great miracle. If that had not happened, there would be no Judaism and no Christianity.
The legend is that after clearing out Greek idols from The Temple there was only enough sealed olive oil to for the eternal light to burn for one day. It lasted 8 days until new purified oil could be made. 😊
I came across this delightful, funny, and very kitschy display at Bed Bath And Beyond. I was there because I needed a new shower curtain rod and a hypo alergenic complete mattress cover.
