The water of the river and the howling wind rips the Beast apart making razor sharp canyons along the river bed
Three photos of Miss Emily compiled into one. Sweet Yuki is also in the background. Emily is just shy of 9 months old now. She'll be growing until she's 24 months. She's full blown adolescence and will not be settling down any time soon. On the positive side I lost 6 pounds so far with the constant walking, training, exercise, cleaning and trying to keep up with her teenage antics. She's more beast than dog.
She's grown into a beautiful Landseer Newfoundland but she brings many challenges to daily life. Challenges accepted. She's family.

I saw this caterpillar when walking through a garden in California. This busy critter had consumed most of the leaves on a potato vine plant. Being so intent on eating, it didn't seem bothered by my close proximity.

The colours really are genuine but 'Sunday' sliders have considerably enhanced them. Greens and ambers are reflections from the summer scorched campus grass. The sky supplied the blues!

This road steam locomotive is anything but little. It's a big black beast of a thing. It looks great and is very powerful for its age. It was made by the famous Yorkshire firm of John Fowler and Company, Leeds, England. The tyre rubber on the wheels is a modern innovation.
