Shadow of the Beast shirt, given away with the visually impressive (but near unplayable) Amiga 500 game Shadow of the Beast. Art is by Roger Dean, who designed the Virgin records logo in the seventies.
Incidentally, I was wearing this at the agency who do all of Virgin's branding and design, and one of the directors came over and started talking to me about it, saying he'd tried to comission some work off Mr Dean on one of Virgin's anniversaries, but hadn't heard anything back.
Personally I think Roger's missing a trick by not having a t-shirt section on his site. The kids'd be mad f'rit.
My youngest boy Roscoe has all the makings of a class clown. This shot perfectly encapsulates him at his happiest; covered in ice cream, shouting loudly.

I have a feeling my choice of colours on this one will probably divide opinion. It's quite a variation on the standard look for GW's, and I've added some bold spot colour in the bright green. I did the slime and tail tongue bits in it, then decided to add flecks to the carapace to look a bit like bio luminescence.
I guess if you're going to paint anything in an odd way it may as well be this freaky model!

These models especially the green one were painted back in the 90s. Then I rebased them to play in a 9th Edition Warhammer Fantasy Battle campaign as they were originally on cavalry bases. Then when the latest Chaos Daemon Codex came out I got the bright idea to rebase them again so they could be used in 9th Edition of Warhammer 40,000. I also decided to improve the paint jobs, again especially the green one. Painting over old paint jobs and varnish is a challenge, the models further got chipped and brown most likely on to them when I dry brushed all the mud and skulls. They came out looking better but this was the only thing I painted for three months and I'm not even sure they'll help my army that much, the original started life as a wargear card.

In no way do these shots compare to the stunning portraits my friend Brilynn Ferguson does with Industry Ink (please check it out), but it happened to be an opportunity during the calm before the 2015 Almanac Dinner rush. So call this a tribute to Brilynn's stunning work.
