One of the reasons that the Red Cow is such a landmark building in Smethwick is the fact there is literally a bright red cow sculpture perched outside the pub. Here we see said sculpture as photographed in August 2017, Stephen and I passing through Smethwick on our way to some Bearwood Big Sleuth bearhunting.
We turned this bear loose. The tree-knocking was to try to get it to come out and leave while we were still there; we don't want it running up behind us after we leave. It wouldn't though, until we pulled back farther, but it went the opposite direction, so that was fine.
