Dragon's Beard Candy 龙顺唐 is a form of spun sugar traditional in China. It consists of many very fine strands of sugar, giving it the appearance and consistency of a fine beard. Crushed peanuts are often added in between as a variation to add a salty taste to the overall candy.

State Farm includes a happy young couple, and low and behold, the guy is sporting a several-weeks-old beard. How trends come in cycles. This is from 2008, but it could just as well be from 1973.

A visit to some of the more comedic beard styles of history.

The Great Beard Experiment of 2014 came to its conclusion tonight. I let the boys do the honors of removing it from my face. Each got to carve something into a cheek (Andy's says "HI!"), and then reduced from full beard to goatee, to mustache, and finally back to "normal" (whatever that means).

Beard season for me usually runs 1 October - 1 April.

This year I wore my beard longer and when April 1 came, trimmed it down to a goatee for a while.

Next stage in the trim-down to the mustache.
