When I was recovering from the surgery on my torn ligaments in my knee in 1990, I found it more difficult to stand and shave in the mornings, so I grew a beard for a few months.
These are scans of some pictures of that time, which Eugene wanted to see.

I finally finished the interior scene I have been working on for the last four pages or so. I'm really looking forward to a change of pace over the next section.
Also, I actually remembered to take down my hair for this photo. Isn't it crazy how my beard and hair are almost at the same level???

she even trimmed/styled my beard.

Bluh, feeling super burned out tonight, but managed to finish penciling the page. I also finished listening to Watership Down, which was just great. One of the best books I've listen to in a long time.

Judging by today's many "selfies" I have decided that the beard, even with that annoying little patch under my nose that refuses to grow, will be staying. At least for the foreseeable future.

three weeks ago tomorrow [well, technically today.] was my ear surgery....i'm still a bit lopsided, slow, and not quite myself. My beard i've let grow since for a couple of reasons:
1-it is a constant reminder to slow down and be mellow. talk mellow, eat mellow, walk mellow.
2-it also serves as A.G.G., aka anti girl guard, aka i can't make out with my wife so may as well sprout a barbed-wire like substance from my face.
