June 4, 2006. I put two large trellises together to make a tall bean trellis. I'm pretty proud of this idea.
The wacky bean at Millennium Park. Great look at the buildings at the north end of the park. I hope the bird on top (see larger versions) isn't trying too hard to hatch it!
Who needs the rule of thirds when you have the rule of beans?
It's been fun watching her get bigger and filling this hoodie up with her big ol' head :)

WELCOME TO OOSTKAMP - RUDDERVOORDE!In 1997, Luc Vermeersch, founder of De Leite brewery had already brewing experienced with a small brewing kit in his garden house. Together with his friend Etienne Van Poucke he attended a brewing course for one year where he met his brewing partner, Paul Vanneste.
This trio has been intensively engaged in the new De Leite brewery since 2008. The name .

Bean Rock Lighthouse is the only surviving wave washed wooden cottage type lighthouse in New Zealand. Bean Rock stands on a group of rocks opposite North Head at the entrance to Waitemata harbour, Auckland.
Construction begun on the Bean Rock lighthouse in 1870 and was completed in 8 months. The design was an open framework with a cottage on top.
On 24 July, 1871, after a cost of £3000, the lighthouse with its kerosene light of 350 candlepower was lit.
The keeper lived in three rooms in the cottage structure. A living area including kitchen, a bedroom and the ‘long drop’ toilet to the sea below.
In 1912 it installed its first automatic acetylene light at Bean Rock and the lighthouse became the first watched light to lose it's resident keeper. At the same time it was changed to a flashing light to stand out from the lights of the city. The light revolved by the pressure it generated as it burned; an automatic sun valve turned the gas flow on and off.
Plans in the 1970's to replace the lighthouse with a concrete structure was meet with local opposition but by the 1980's the Auckland Harbour Board and Historic Places Trust were seriously worried about the lighthouse as it needed extensive repairs. In 1985 the cottage structure was removed by crane from the pilings and moved ashore for renovation. At the same time the rotted kauri piles were replaced with Australian hardwood jarrah and sunk in a new concrete foundation.
During the renovation, they found 20 coats of paint on one section of the lighthouse, showing how well the keepers had done their job. The lighthouse was also repainted white, it's original colour after being painted yellow since 1956. Five months later the cottage was craned back onto the new pilings and bolted down.
Solar panels now provide the power for the lighthouse and it has an automatic fog horn.

Es tan adorable!!! y pequeño!
Ha llegado hace poco y ya lo tengo maquillado pero no he decido un nombre.
(El libro es una edición completa de todos los cuentos de Beatrix Potter, hace mucho que buscaba sus cuentos por que yo tenia cinco o seis libritos de pequeña y solo me queda uno el de la oca Carlota, encontré algunos en una colección en DVD en la fnac que también cogí y encontrar este libro hace poco de segunda-mano me alegro mucho por que no sabia que había echo tantos cuentos unos 23 + 4 ineditos, así se los podre leer a Sofia).

Sitting out in the Waitematā Harbour New Zealands oldest Wooden Lighthouse buit in 1870. Originally operated by Lighthouse Keepers it is now fully automated and is eqiipped with a Foghorn.
1918 design for orchards and vineyards, where high maneuverability was required. One speed only, but reverse is possible. 4-cyl engine is rated at 6 to 10 hp.
Back then, farming implements were pulled by the tractor, not attached, and could not be lifted off the ground, as with modern tractors
There's a preserved unit in the Heidrick Ag History Center in Woodland, Ca. Unfortunately, this museum is closed until further notice.
One of the two bean raised bed with a trellis growing Trionfo Violetto purple podded beans. These raised beds are 10 inches deep with a stand alone sub-irrigation system (SIPS) running through the bottom of the beds. The trellis is meant to form a square but I opened it up placed it in the middle of the bed. It measures 26.5cm x 36.5cm x 193cm in height.
To the left is a cherry tomato and Marketmore 76 cucumber plant. The cucumber is growing in a 37 litre (10 gallon) fabric planter and the tomato plant is in an Air Pot- the original air pruning pots.
