Knowing the signalling protocols of this area, the red lights say it all. No point waiting for a train here, there's nothing coming! Nice atmospheric morning though.

Ninepin rock appears to have a lighthouse, but it is only a beacon. Known for rock fishing, but safety is a concern on this rugged beach.

Dunkery Beacon at the summit of Dunkery Hill is the highest point on Exmoor and in Somerset, England
"I had let want in, opened the door ever so slightly. But want without the belief you can get what you want is pointless. You have to hope, so I let that in too. You have to. To want things and go for them and believe, even in impossible situations...Hope was what you had when you had nothing else. Hope was the perfect shiny top on the Christmas tree, the glowing halo of every wish, the endless beacon of a lighthouse bringing tormented ships home at last."- Deb Caletti

West of the Rain
Standing on top of the Dunstable Downs, England, and occasionally being used (at Easter for example). When lit, it can be seen from far away and so is in contact with other beacons across the country. It is a very old method of communication. Samyang wide-angle lens at F8 plus a polariser. Image has been cropped.
