I do love sea gulls - ubiquitous but still, endlessly entertaining.

The Stena Europe begins its evening sailing from Rosslare Europort ( Ireland ) to Fishguard ( Wales ), a beautiful crossing ahead given the fine weather.

This location is where the miles of sandy beaches around Rosslare meet the beginning of the harbour defences, a dividing wall between nature & industry.

Look what the tide washed in.

It's the Stena Nordica, sweeping in along with some waves with threatning skies above.

The Nordica is like the substitute teacher for Stena, filling in when other ships are off on refits or overhaul. Its just the right fit for any purpose & route, from extremes like Poland or Ireland, it goes & does the job.

Seen on very brief relief cover yet again on the Dublin-Holyhead route in October 2022.

Built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, Japan, it originally operated for P & O Ferries from 2000-2004 as European Ambassador ( Liverpool / Mostyn - Dublin ) ( Dublin-Cherbourg ), then for Stena Line 2004 onwards as Stena Nordica ( on Irish Sea from 2008 ) where it remains today, operating alongside the Stena Adventurer.

It can carry 405 passengers with 222 berths, with 375 cars & 1,949 lane metres.

The Stena Nordica is a close relative to the P&O Irish Sea twins European Causeway and European Highlander, which operate between Cairnryan and Larne

June 22, 2019 - Long Exposure picture of the Beach Waves at night, lit up by strong spotlights on the cliff at Treasure Island Park, during the Donut Street Meet at Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach, CA.

Yesterday the KIrkcaldy Photographic Society www.kirkcaldyphotographicsociety.co.uk had another great day out to Morton Lochs, Tentsmuir Forest and Kinshaldy Beach. It was sunny and dry and despite the waves in the accompanying dog-walker shot, it was very pleasant. Today after a night of high winds and horizontal rain, fierce waves were lashing over the sea-wall (see other photo). What a difference a day makes indeed. I apologise if the last two photos are grainy, but I shot these through my rain-lashed windows, because I wasn't going to take my camera out in all that flying salt-spray.

P.S.This morning's high tide at around 4.30 a.m. actually flooded three of the houses at the end of Pan Ha and water surged around the back of the houses. Fortunately a stepped area stopped the water from reaching our back door.

"Sea and Sand," the timeless beauty of the ocean is elegantly showcased. The scene unfolds with a mesmerizing view of a beautiful blue ocean beach, where waves roll gently onto the sandy shore, creating delicate swirls of white foam.

The composition captures the rhythmic ebb and flow of the ocean, as the waves gracefully break against the shoreline, leaving behind a trail of frothy white foam. The contrast between the vibrant blue hues of the ocean and the soft, golden tones of the sandy beach creates a visually stunning tableau that evokes a sense of tranquility and serenity.

"Sea and Sand" invites viewers to immerse themselves in the soothing sights and sounds of the coastal environment, offering a moment of respite and reflection amidst the beauty of nature. It serves as a timeless reminder of the eternal dance between the sea and the shore, capturing the essence of coastal living in its most serene and picturesque form.

As I tossed and turned checking the wheather on my phone for updates I wondered what the day would bring. As I left my house at around 4am I was still trying to decide if i really wanted to go out on the Coast. By the time I Crossed 92 I noticed that the wheather went from biend ok to very slim FAT chance. There was a greater chance of rain and a ton of Fog which if too much wouldnt allow me to capture what i had already somewhat invisioned the night before. So I get there and climb down the hill and at this point am convinced this was not the conditions i wanted. About 30 minutes went by and the sky began to unfold right before my eyes, I was a wreck!! I had soo many things i wanted to try that I think i was stuck in amazment for about 5 mins Lol, Anyways God showed His work to me this morning, I cannot tell you how magical this truly was for me. I spent the next hour and a half shootin away at this Marvellous site!, I will upload the rest later. Much appreciation goes out To MIkeSF for yet inspiring me to get up this morning to try and witness this scene!!

We walked around between photoshoots to test several things. I had my trusty Leica IIIa loaded with Superpan 200. Nice film for sunny days. Really like the high contrast.

On Friday, April 1, I crawled out of my warm bed to go off in search of a bright sunrise on a cold morning. The forecast was not favorable, but I was hoping that the sun might peek through the predicted stormy morning. No such luck! I guess you could say that I was fooled, maybe even a fool myself for going out in the first place! Even so, the result was more interesting and dramatic than I imagined.

I don't even know.

this is an old photo because it's the rush before finals week and everything is happening and I'm too busy to really go out and shoot more photos. I've taken so many in my room of just portraits that I'm running out of ideas to do in my room. I have two photos that I want to post but it's photoshop heavy and I don't have time to edit them >.>

I realize that I can skip some days but I've skipped too many and I'm determined to finish June 1, 2018.

I just want the semester to be over with
