I'd had this idea about trying to represent lockdown as a driftwood creation for. a while. Luckily I've been able to have my daily exercise on the beach when I go down to feed the bees, so had the perfect opportunity to make my idea work, I just needed the right bits of driftwood. A quick walk on the strand line, and it all came together. Like a. Monkey in a. zoo is a. very poignant song by Daniel Johnston, and is perfect for my lockdown on the beach. Hope everyone is well and not going too crazy, I need to think up more challenges now :))
Of all the rocks on the beach, why do certain ones call to us?

I read in my local newspaper a while back a quite good saying.. "If you find a clean beach in the world today it only means that someone just cleaned it before you arrived".. please always take your trash with you and do also pick up what you can that someone else left in nature!

Weston Beach in the wake of a passing Pacific storm, Point Lobos State Reserve, California.
After photographing shore birds for a couple of hours I started back toward the park exit, but when I saw these post-storm clouds on the horizon beyond high-tide-filled Weston Beach I had to stop and make another round of photographs.

Beach combers. Beautiful sunset last night on the beaches of Sæby Havn last night. Interestingly, the beach is full of tiny white clam shells that at a distance appear as white sand. Really lovely little seaside town making me want to hang out for a few days, kick my feet up and read my book. But..not this time as there is so much more to discover! Off to Skagen next! :) Have a great day!
