Trish, Molly the doberman & I at Fort Fisher Park, at the southern tip of Kure Island, lower Outer Banks, NC. This is one of the covered areas that you can sit & relax, have a picnic. I love the way the dock curves & the sunlight was playing with light & shadow. Ft Fisher is accepting of animals so we had Molly along. She loved the waves as you can see in this series of shots from my Ft Fisher album.
I took the image into Photoshop CS. I then applied plug-in Virtual Photographer "classic" vpf in B&W. I used the lasso to extract all color other than the "red, white & blue" flag color of her beach chair she's carrying over her shoulder. I then took out some saturation of the flag-chair to give it a "hand-tinting". Finally I used curves to adjust contrast to the entire image.
Beach Road is one of the early roads developed in Singapore and appears in George Drumgoole Coleman's 1836 Map of Singapore. The road was actually a coastal road fronting the sea coast in the early decades of the British colonial city.
