In 2003 an earthquake destroyed the city of Bam in Iran, killing at least 30 000 people . When I visited the place in november 2007 much of the city was stil in ruins. But life went on, without a city being there. Here you see a snapshot of the bazaar. Once, I imagine, a flourishing centre of trade in the middle of a desert. Now some seacontainers with shops in them.
This was taken in mothbaria, barisal. This bazaar is the business central of the village, with puri stands to vegetables, they have them all.
Right outside the Spice Bazaar (also called the Egyptian Market) I've seen several people including this man carrying things on their heads. The Covered Bazaar features even more interesting deliveries of materials on the order of 2 meters cubed, carried on the backs of delivery men.
Adventureland's sights and attractions:
This is the side view of Adventureland Bazaar. A nice shop that has things like the coin pressing Elephant, Shrunken Head Ned, and The Fortune Telling Lamp.
