It is missing the interior ...

But for $ 5 bucks, I couldn't pass it up !

I wish I had this back in the day :)

Made by Mego.

My version of the 1989 Burton Batmobile, this is a slightly modified version of the one I created for the the LEGO Batman movie.

Another one day build, but arguably cleaner and better-presented than some of my other ones. I'm also (slowly) improving my editing skills, hence the unusually clean backdrop for my standards. :P

I've wanted to try my hand at an original Batmobile design for some years but never took the time to come up with a proper concept. However, a month or so ago I came up with the idea of using the trans light blue parts used for the headlights, which are taken from a CMF fig. I ditched the idea but ended up coming back to it yesterday, deriving inspiration from the 2022 rendition as well as some other fan designs I found. I think it turned out fairly neat - heck, I can even fit the accompanying fig into the driver's seat.

My number one design rule: Everything can be improved! 😀😀😀 So I decided to do a few improvements here and there on my older designs starting with the 1989 Batmobile. It now has a wider body in the front, sleek lines all the way across and it's also slightly longer. I took some inspiration from Lucas and OneBadawan but ended up using very different parts and techniques. The last thing that needs improvement is the side intakes which look maybe too small at the moment. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments! 😉

Interior. The way this thing is built didn't allow me to get that creative with the inside.

The original model kit from the movie, which I assembled back in the day. I didn't see fit to paint it, unfortunately.

As a child of the '80s and a big fan of curvaceous muscle cars, it's probably no surprise that I think this is the best movie car ever made.

When I started building in LDD five years ago, I had two cars in mind: the '69 Vette, and this thing. At the time I just couldn't wrap my mind around how to design it properly, so I shelved it in favor of building more Corvettes. Earlier this year I figured it was time to revisit it, and I'm super glad I did.

This model has 1741 parts, official Lego lighting for headlamps, an opening cockpit w/ interior, opening batdisc launcher doors, machine guns that pop up at the twist of a knob, and of course, the ability to go through narrow alleyways in Batmissile configuration.

My son recently switched from Duplo to regular Lego sets.

One of those sets is the Lego Junior Batman & Superman vs Lex Luthor set.

It is a fun set with a cute Batmobile. Apparently he wanted me to make this Batmobile less cute... Now it's ready to combat thieves, bankrobbers, Jokers and parademons...

My version of the Batmobile from the videogame Arkham Asylum.

Improved '89 Batmobile.

Gonna call this one finished for now. I've extended the wheel base forwards by 1 stud, lowered the roof and improved the shaping of the wings and side intakes.

Also, managed to take advantage of a sudden appearance by the sun to take some better photos.

I'm tending to post to Instagram first nowadays so if you want to see my latest stuff sooner then give me a follow on www.instagram.com/brickjockey/

Hope you like the photos!

What started out as an alien space fighter turned into inspiration to build this. A figure can't fit inside, but I think it's a bit more proportionate this way.

As much as Iove the idea of the new App-Controlled Batmobile (Set 76112) It just doesn't look like a Batmobile. Not really. Which meant it was the perfect oppurtunity to MOC it up.

So, using the 1989 Batmobile as inspiration, I present - The Chibi Batmobile.

And yes, it's a lot of fun to drive.

The 1989 Batmobile, updated with the new curved Lego windscreen.

"Holy Ridiculously Huge, Batman!"

Believe it or not: Lego's Tumbler is exactly twice as wide as my Adam West Batmobile. Overcompensating much?

There's nothing particularly special about this photo beyond highlighting the wheel covers as well as the upper two light projectile canons situated above the driver. With the two light canons my idea was that they were more specifically for vehicle combat, so they primarily fire projectiles designed specifically to neutralise other vehicles as well as to deploy flares to throw off attempts to track the Batmobile.

Like most of you i wanted to make an Arkham knight Batmobile then i decided to just make my own version.Hope you like it.

If you are added it is because you made a custom Batmobile before me.I would apreciate to hear your opinion.

Introducing...oversized Batmobile V1! Built this in quarantine a week ago, and I really like how it turned out. The size is really wonky, it's more to the scale of a giant truck than a car, but I like how it looks. I didn't really base it off of any source material; I just added details as I went along.

Having never gotten a Lego Batmboile set before, the wings were kind of tricky to get right. I'm not sure if the airplane tail pieces I used were the best solution, but that's why this build is a V1 :) Took the windscreen off the BVS Batwing and used it here, and I think it looks really nice.

There's a wind-up gearbox mechanism inside the car, so when you pull it back, it rolls forward a couple meters. Batman fits inside, although he's kinda lying down. Doesn't bother me too much though, but I do want to change the car into a two-seater in the future.

What do you guys think? I have a Batcave moc that I'll post soon too! Comments are, as always, very much appreciated! :D

This MOC has been sitting on my desk half completed for 18months now. Not even kidding. Since before the LEGO Batman movie dropped.

The plan had started with wanting to make a to-scale Burton era Batmobile. Which isn't something that's been officially released yet. (Though we've had many fine Batmobiles)

As it is, I think it's perhaps a bit larger than I wanted And I might try trim the size further. Bring it all the way down to Speed Champions size.

Maybe in another 18months.
